Privacy

Brickalike is built to need as little of your data as possible. This page says exactly what is and isn't collected.
Who is responsible
Joshua Allen, an independent developer in Ireland, is responsible for this site. Contact: [email protected].
Your photos and scans
- Camera scans and imported 3D files are processed in your browser. They are not uploaded to us or stored by us.
- The optional "From a photo" route sends that one photo to an AI service (Tripo or Meshy) so it can make a 3D shape. It uses your own account key, which stays in your browser. The photo passes through a relay run for this site that does not store it. That service then handles the photo under its own privacy policy.
Accounts and tracking
- There are no accounts, no advertising, and no tracking cookies on this site.
- We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not follow you across other sites. It records which pages are viewed and general details such as country, browser and device type, not who you are.
- Fonts are served from this site, not from a third party.
- Your browser stores a few settings locally, such as your unlock code once you unlock downloads. You can clear these in your browser at any time.
Payments
Purchases are handled by Stripe, which acts as the seller of record. They collect your payment details, email address and country to take payment, handle VAT and send your receipt. We do not see or store your card details. See Stripe's own privacy policy for how they use that information.
When you enter an unlock code, it is sent to this site's server, which checks it with Stripe. To enforce the three-browser limit we keep a list of random browser IDs against each code. We do not keep names, emails or card details.
Hosting
This site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the site and keep it secure.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (dataprotection.ie). Because we hold almost nothing, the honest answer to most requests is short, but email us and we will reply.
